Arnaud, MB – The community of Arnaud raises funds for its future play structure.
If you build it, they will come! This plan is now becoming a reality for the growing community of Arnaud, Manitoba. “The need for a play structure in town was amplified by the pandemic”, explained community member Chris Delaquis.
The town of Arnaud has had the new play structure on its wish list for many years. However, 2020 seemed to place the structure at the top of the list as the community quickly realized the need for a common area for local families to meet and for children to play. The Arnaud Fundraising Committee ramped up its efforts and left no rock unturned. They succeeded.
BSI Insurance received the request through BSI’s Because We Care initiative, earlier this year. It was reviewed by the Because We Care team which included Dominion City’s Team Leader, Wendy Fisher, who spoke highly of the community of Arnaud. Last week, BSI delivered a $1000 cheque to help pay for the cost of the new play structure.
Because We Care – Because we care about our customers, employees, and the communities we operate in, we created the Because We Care Initiative. Through this initiative we donate roughly $25,000 annually to communities we operate in and around. This initiative allows us to contribute to individual and community causes as well as larger community projects.
