Manitou, MB – July 4, 2018 – BSI Insurance has donated $1,000 to the Pembina Manitou Fire Department to aid in the purchase of a combination brush truck. This 4×4 quad cab truck will house a small water tank and pump to allow fire fighters to access areas the main pumper truck cannot. It will also be used for search and rescue, to pull the Hazmat trailer, to house the winter rescue toboggan and to pull the fire safety educational trailer. This truck and system are invaluable to the region. The approximate cost of the truck, along with the pumper system is $70, 000. This donation is made through BSI Insurance’s Because We Care Initiative.
