Swan Lake, MB – November 16, 2017 – BSI Insurance has donated $1,000 to Swan Lake arena to help the Swan Lake Minor Hockey Association purchase boards for Squirts and Novice hockey. Hockey Manitoba and Pembina Valley Minor Hockey have mandated that both Squirts and Novice games be restricted to half-ice making the purchase of these boards a necessity. The boards are 8 ½’ sections of aluminum frame covered in puck board that fold together for portability and storage. The approximate cost of the boards and trollies to store them is $8,000. This donation is done in part with the BSI Insurance – Because We Care initiative.
