Altona, MB – March 24th, 2017 – BSI Insurance along with Mutual Fire Insurance of British Columbia has donated $2500 to the Blue Sky Opportunities Charity in Altona, MB. BSI was chosen as 2016’s Top Broker by Mutual Fire Insurance of British Columbia and chose to donate to Blue Sky opportunities. Blue Sky Opportunities was founded in 1954 and operates The John Unger Seniors Centre. They are a non-profit organization committed to maximizing the independence of adults with intellectual disabilities through employment and residential opportunities. The funds donated will be directed towards their Building project. Blue Sky Opportunities currently employs 135 staff supporting 25 people in 10 homes, 16 people in their own apartments and 60 people within their employment based areas of the: wood shop and recycling program, combine chain assembly, day program and Opportunities program.
