Winter 2025 Driver Z Registration Opens October 15 at 8 a.m.
Planning to enroll in a Driver Z course this fall? Registration for all courses running from December 2025 through February 2026 begins Wednesday, October 15th at 8 a.m. (Winter 2025 Driver Z Registration)
To accommodate registration times, select ONE Insurance locations will be opening earlier than usual. The following offices will open at 8:00 AM: ALTONA, CARMAN, EAST ST. PAUL, OAKBANK, MANITOU, MORDEN, NIVERVILLE, SELKIRK (MAIN), STONEWALL, WINKLER, WINNIPEG (KILDONAN), WINNIPEG (ST. NORBERT), WINNIPEG (ST. VITAL)
We understand that registration day can be stressful—especially in areas where demand is high. While MPI continues to work behind the scenes to improve the Driver Z program and expand capacity, they are also making adjustments to help streamline the registration process.
Get Ready Early – Save Time on Registration Day
Driver Z registration involves three key steps:
- Create an MPI customer profile for the future driver
- Purchase the Driver Z service
- Secure a spot in a course
To make your registration experience smoother, we strongly recommend completing the first two steps in advance. Visit any ONE Insurance location or MPI Service Centre to set up the future driver as an MPI customer and purchase the Driver Z service.
Once those steps are done, you’ll be able to register by phone on October 15—no need to visit in person!
How to Register on October 15
With the student present, a parent/guardian or the student themselves can register starting at 8 a.m. through any of the following options:
- Call MPI’s Contact Centre: 204-985-7000 or 1-800-665-2410 (toll-free)
- Call Driver Education: 204-985-7199 or 1-800-261-9928 (toll-free)
- Visit any ONE Insurance location.
- Visit an MPI Service Centre

Seasonal Registration
To provide parent/guardians with more information to make an informed choice on which Driver Z course to register for, we have moved to seasonal registration. This allows courses to be viewed on Course Finder three months at a time.
Registration for all Winter 2025 Driver Z courses (December through February) will open on Wednesday, October 15 at 8 a.m.
Available courses for this session will be posted on this page on Friday, October 10, so you can plan ahead and determine which course offering works best for you.

Things to remember about Driver Z registration:
- Students must be 15 ½ years of age by the date of the Driver Z Knowledge Test.
