Director, Insurance Services

 About this Opportunity:

The Director, Insurance Services oversees and leads the functional management, and strategic direction of the Sales and Marketing Broker teams. The primary focus will be to ensure customer satisfaction and drive new business development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth and market share expansion.
  • Monitor workloads, schedules, and workflows to optimize team productivity and efficiency.
  • Lead the budget preparation process regarding revenue targets
  • Keep Insurance Advisors accountable regarding soliciting leads, follow through and results on all leads generated.
  • Ensure the achievement or reduction of expenses and overall profitability as outlined annually.
  • Foster a culture where all employee training and education (skill and industry/technical) is supported and implemented and that there is consistency, understanding and adherence to process, procedures, and policies.
  • Review management reporting daily, weekly or monthly and evaluate opportunities to improve performance, new sales, growth, ROI, capacity, expense control and process, and customer/policy attrition.
  • Ensure Marketing Brokers are up to date with managing upcoming renewals as set out in the Service Guidelines and following all procedures and workflows as set for consistent file management.
  • Support the Marketing Brokers as required with marketing risks.
  • Ensure active participation in community or industry associations as identified to develop leads, increase industry knowledge and expertise, expand network and to contribute to the development of ONE Insurance’s Broker reputation as Industry Leaders.

Ideal Skills & Qualifications:

  • CAIB designation completed or in progress (Level II is required)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
  • Proven track record of at least 10 years in successful sales leadership roles with a focus on commercial and farm
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
